Sure, but this time I thought these things might matter because the article gives a deadline - the end of the universe.
Please just force me to upgrade to Windows 11 already. I’d love to, but my hardware doesn’t satisfy some arbitrary requirements they set for Windows 11.
I feel like there has to be more to this problem than pure probability. We ought to consider practical nuances like the tendency to randomly mash keys that are closer together rather than assume a uniform distribution.
I was close to leaving. At first I’d been given the impression that “liberal” is a dirty word on Lemmy. It helps that PSAs like this one routinely appear on other instances to inform newcomers. Just keep spreading the knowledge and let it be known that everybody should block those communities.
A big one for me is that you can tweak the priority of specific domains. in my case I hate Fandom but I don’t want to block it entirely, so I lower it and raise the other wikis I’d rather see first. I also have every Pinterest domain blocked, which would be very tedious to do with search engine operators.
It’s optional and not the default control scheme. This is only good.
We could, but instead we’re going to monetize it and achieve unprecedented levels of brain rot.
I’ll speak about my experience. Bluesky feels like an upgrade to Twitter. There are many algorithmic feeds to choose from, and it’s easy to discover people to follow. Mastodon, on the other hand, is a straight downgrade from Bluesky because it is lacking in those features.
I imagine a lot of people leaving Twitter feel similarly. They don’t care much about privacy or federation. Bluesky just works, and that’s what matters to them.
There is also Arcanists 2. It’s like Worms, but every match is different because you choose your own inventory of weapons.
We were going to keep calling it Twitter no matter what, but it feels even better knowing how much he loves deadnaming.
I still play Super Mario 64 if various rom hacks count.
Why is this so familiar? Didn’t he already try and fall to prop up another Republican ghoul the same way? I wonder what the last engineer not fired at Twitter is doing. They still haven’t fixed Twitter’s livestreaming.
I’m glad everything has been archived. Where are people going to share rom hacks now? Super Mario 64 and Super Mario World stuff have their own website. Niche things are going to be harder to find.
I’m sure it will be very good. It’s being made by Rovertronic, one of the greatest in the SM64 romhacking scene.
Twitter just has too much momentum. It’s unshakable from its cultural position as it is now. It will take more than the alt-right openly congregating in their own circles to scare ordinary people away.
If you still have a Twitter account, now it’s a good time to flood Twitter with Sonic porn and random snippets of erotic fan fiction.
That makes sense. I don’t have a fitness watch but I guess I could apply this to other areas of my life. Maybe there’s a useful and more general theory to be found.
Alright then. The 3rd party app drama already pushed me here. I really won’t go back for anything if I’m not allowed to search for Reddit anymore.
It’s a start. At least ordinary people are leaving Twitter for another site in some capacity.
