Completely different strategy: the PS4 generation has produced a lot of games, sony could have stopped trying to compete with the high end PC market and gone in the Nintendo direction. Gives us new ways to access their library, give developers new tools to play with, release a 2nd mid-gen refresh and release a ps4 slim that is equivalent to the ps4 pro, encourage games for new ps4-slim and ps4 pro+. What do you think?

Pointless if the discs still need to talk to the server before you can use them.

PS4 is superior in every way but power. Small, cheap and high availability, huge game library. PS4 will stay relevant this entire. gen

I’ve lost trust in reviews in general but am interested in repairable products. For TVs/screens I like rtings. Youtube covers a lot of products.

They spread too. You get one loopy sub and it can take over an adjacent sub over time. Members get tired of the content in their community and will go to the nearest most-similar one for more content.

These rules don’t need to be forever but if lemmy is currently having a problem with something (I don’t actually know what this is all about) I’m all for updating TOS so they can fix it.

You use the word upset as in there is no rational reason to care about this and emotions are invalid or lesser.

Anyway, cameras and paintings…

I like building things and being alone and woodworking is my go to activity. It involves working with and learning about wood and tools to work with wood, project management for more complex projects, tons of spatial thinking, drawing, research, prototyping. I spend a large amount of time drawing.

None of these are as bad as they were before, but Windows OS still sucks. Apple isn’t selling bargain devices of any kind. They are more like decent investments (if you don’t include the butterfly era).

I use it for marketplace though it’s not my favourite. More tire-kickers and scammers on FB than craigslist.

I think my friends who use social media still use messenger for group chats.

I’d been looking for a good reason to leave reddit for a while.

Lately I’ve been growing tired of the push towards reddit mobile app. I only use the desktop app, even on mobile, and slowly but surely reddit has been hiding things behind their app or requiring you to sign in. I don’t want to sign in, I don’t want a mobile app.

Despite how big it is, it’s very easy to not actually engage with anyone. I miss forums, so I didn’t like that.

Opening up popular posts and scrolling down pages of witty one liners.

General rudeness, brigading, and the all or nothing mentality concerning many topics.

Reading pretty much any comment in /r/worldnews is discouraging.

I know people like googling with ‘reddit’ at the end, but marketers also know this and I’ve become suspect of ‘reddit recommended’ products. In general, reddit is turning into a product and not a place of knowledge and discussion.

I know this is probably my own reddit settings, but I don’t like how comments have been collapsing. So I open a post with 9000 comments, I see like 3 top comments and have to click to open the children, which can take a second to load. If I reload the page then I lose my place. Clunky. (I’ve never used any app to access reddit).
