If by ‘Russian KoolAid’ you mean easily preventable inflation, internal border controls due to EU support of genocidal Tel-Aviv regime, exorbitant energy prices, and blatant censorship that even Stalin would envy, then yes, I guess I was thirsty AF…

EU is a total shitshow. It has been for years, but lately we really suffer from this stupid bureaucracy. Paper straws, attached bottle caps, not to mention billions they mindlessly pour into the slugfest in Ukraine.
I get the sentiment, but no. No way. No way in hell I’m allowing advertisers to get a bit of data or a penny out of me in any way, shape, or form. Not the way they’ve been treating us for the last decade. They can eat dung for all I care. Total war.
Yes. Although I noticed strange behavior for playlists, almost each second song triggers the nagging ‘Playback paused, click to continue’ for some reason, it could be related.
Umm, didn’t mean to deride you, sorry that I wasn’t clear enough about that, I should’ve been more precise. What I meant to say was that I was pirating before I knew what pirating even meant. I was not old enough at the time and it was in the good old times of C64 when people weren’t generally aware of piracy.
In other news, Spain sees a surge in VPN services subscription.
Please, I’ve been pirating on C64 before I even got the concept of pirating.
Europol can eat 💩, they aren’t taking away my E2E Encryption!
So if I send a photo of our kids playing naked in a baby pool to my wife through signal, some slimy-ass eurocrat in some IT center will be able to ‘manually verify’ the photo of my naked kids?? Are you mentally sound??
I hate pedos just as much as every other sane parent, perhaps even more so (I’d love to wear “Why, Garry, why?!” t-shirt all day every day). But to hell with this stupid idea that some slimy scumbags will be able to browse my own photos of my own kids. Hell, even any random photo I take, it’s my business and nobody elses! Go catch pedos the proper way instead, work a little, we don’t need Gestapo or Stasi to hover over everything we do or photograph.
EU lawmakers are utter rubbish. Cookie consent spam?? Paper straws and ear sticks?? Non-removable bottle caps?? Invasive KYC laws?? Banning ‘foreign propaganda’ through DNS blacklist?? Propping up failed projects like the ukromaidan regime?? What. The. Hell. They just spam our countries with the worst stupidity they can come up with, all the while infringing upon our rights and wellbeing.
I voted against joining EU 20 years ago. I guess I was right about that, unfortunately…
Awesome! Been a customer for a while, waiting for the family pack supporting at least 4 separate users for a custom domain for a fair price.
I still have to encounter a BMW driver who isn’t a piece of trash. Note that I actually raced with BMWs, but still wouldn’t buy one as a daily driver. 🤷🏼
Here in Slovenia they have this sort of hipster/yuppie clientele, basically the same demographic as the smug Apple users, that’s why you see so many with Apple stickers. Usually they drive the estate version like XC70. The new SUVs are more for the executive smug base, though, but obviously they’re still scumbags. :)
All that.
BTW, of all the drivers on the road, I always hated Volvo drivers who sport an Apple sticker the most. They’re pure entitled no-good scum. Except BMW drivers, they should be euthanised.
Great, I didn’t know that. They ‘ban’ the Russian news channels that way as well.
Sadly it looks to me a much better experience than the current state of the ad space…
They’re playing the long game here. First they assimilated browser space with Chrome, then they disabled manifest v2, and the next step will probably be some reincarnation of WEI just like you said, in order to close down the open internet for good.
If you look at the state of the web right now, most of the interactions and traffic go through the dedicated apps of the big tech (spyware, basically) who are vendor-locking the experience. I figure it will divide the web even further into two entities, one being the addictive big-tech apartheid spyware gardens, and the other being the free fediverse-like FOSS-natured web for privacy and tech enthusiasts, with severely limited interaction between the two. I’ll always choose the latter, thank you very much.
I have a 17 year old car with ESP (electronic stability) and without any ‘smart’ stuff. I’ll run it until its last breath.
Oh, the horror! /s
