There mission must be copying Google killing perfectly good products.

So you can’t. There are cert stores, new protocols and ciphers, and eventually u patched zero days.
I know this because I’ve been playing with a g3 powerboat and all the browsers at this point are no longer maintained to support the above things as of last year. The last person working on it gave up
I went from a ts431 to a Ts873 to get the pci card with 10 gig nice and dual name drives, it’s a kickass powerhouse for my ESX based virtualization.
I purchased a xps15 a few years ago. It had to go back twice in a year. Once for a fan that died, then again for a fan making bad noise when under load. Stopped using it about 18 months after getting it after the battery stopped working completely out of the blue.
Yup. I tried selling on Amazon and ended up back on ebay because perfectly working stuff was being returned and I had to eat the cost of shipping both ways.
There are some others, bhphoto being a good one, but many of the online retailers do not have free shipping and many also have return fees. That’s where Amazon saw a way to steal customers away.
Most people want the question free returns, that’s really the thing keeping amazon afloat compared to say eBay or aliexpress. Sure you can get the stuff directly from China in most cases, but you have to wait for a month for it to arrive and hope you don’t need to return it.
As for local stores, they always cost more because of the cost of doing business, which is why Amazon is cheaper and faster to deliver.
All that said, as long as you can wait a few days, there is no need to pay for Prime, you can still get all the stuff shipped for free if you just wait until you have 45 bucks of stuff to buy.
I’m going to go against what you just said, even though you might be a firefighter.
Take that battery OUTSIDE AWAY FROM ANY TREES OR YOUR HOME and put it in salt water to kill it completely. The water should have so much salt in it that the salt refuses to stir in and you can see the salt at the bottom after heavy stirring meaning the water cant dilute the salt anymore. .
The salt water bath over the next two days will completely drain the battery to 0 volts at which point it is no longer dangerous.
The salt water method is the only fully safe way to handle that battery.

They do a lot to be transparent and monitor availability.
There is an big usage jump before Xmas, I assume because of the recent lemmy version upgrade that many admins are saying uses more resources.
Give em some time, I’m sure there will be a patch soon.
Best part of the fediverse is you can just use a less popular server until things calm down.
And a way to have that many drives connected at once, which means more cost.
Keep living in your made up fear.
Vmware requires a lot of messing around.
What are you going on about? VMware and Windows work just fine if you install vmware tools.
Have you tried turning off and on again?
If you’ve got cloud backup you’re good, keep the drives in a drawer as spares or have another use?
A mirror array is not a backup. So therefor I would use at least one of those extra drives for a weekly backup of your data. You want some sort of not real-time backup in case you get cryptoed for example
I love my 3 node nuc cluster, uses thunderbolt 10gig network adapters for the backend and storage network so it’s super fast.
Very specific media like rare or modified Rips gave an extra copy on an archive folder. All my cloud storage and personal backups also go to the archive folder. That folder then gets backed up to local raid 6 NAS, and then the qnap software syncs that up to backblaze once a week.
If this solves seeing the same person posting the same article multiple times and each showing on the feed, then that’s a great idea.
My bet is Nutanix is going to grow a lot over the next few years.
The catch is its time consuming since it doesn’t support Playlist. There are similar tools that also support up to 100nsong Playlist.
