Oh wow I had completely forgot about that one! Totally surprised it’s still a thing. And oh wow the performance improvements are ridiculously impressive.

A move with a lot of “I’m in”.

Coz adding AI to your company makes the stock ridiculously explode (see that shoe company that turned “AI”).

It’s only logical

Looks good

Well yeah my limited experience is an android auto update replaced Assistant with Gemini, and now it can’t do anything new, only the same things much slower and with occasional really weird results. Totally worth all the lay offs and resources hogging.

This will probably have to be not open source, especially if bluetooth is present - otherwise someone will figure out how to capture camera feed with a custom firmware.
Encrypt the traffic and follow proper key management procedures? It wouldn’t exactly be the first open source thing that transmits sensitive data over a network. See you talk about privacy and in one comment find a justification to not disclose the source code. Ahem.

I would never trust them, no matter the claim.

Oh that looks fun. Gonna try that, thanks.

FYI beeper is really just matrix with bridges. Once I realized that I set up my own and now I have the same functionalities as beeper, self hosted, with a choice of clients.

Oh I like

I like this but since it’s on my own domain i’m going to refrain from illegal stuff.

Plus, even if you can turn it off, the feature is still in the code, needing updates, etc., even if you don’t ever use it. Literal bloat.

Just use the web version? i’ve been doing that on my linux desktop for over a year, works just fine.

Who tells them that “Visio” is already a trademark?
