So if an Android user texts with an iPhone user, Bard has data on both users. Great. /s
I would like a browser addon that drops poisoned data when surfing the web. Instead of trying to restrict how much of my data gets collected, spread useless data across their sites.
Typical Washington bluster for optics. Auto manufacturers and their unions contribute too much money to politicians, nothing will be done.
Windows 10. I was happy with Windows 7, got prompted to ‘upgrade’ to Windows 10… I declined. Next morning, my PC had Windows 10 installed. I got this crazy idea that my PC belonged to me and that I would be the one to decide what OS to use. Hello Linux Mint.
I don’t mind paying for YouTube content. I do mind their data harvesting, however. Figured out that my life isn’t diminished at all without Youtube.
What’s the going rate on a horse and buggy these days?
But Google is freeeee!
But, it’s free!!!
I’m reminded of the last thing my dad said to me:
“Be careful with that son, I think it’s loaded…”
I thought Toyota was going the Hydrogen car route…
If fediverse admins come back to us saying that they have figured out a safe way to federate with Meta, then we will know that Meta got to them (financially). Maybe that’s why they want an off the record meeting?
To create an Instagram account, your identity has to be validated. I prefer anonymity. Once Meta gets their foot in the door, I guarantee they will try to bully the fediverse into doing things their way. Hard pass for me.
I installed a dual boot Win/Linux Mint back in 2016, over the next 5 years, I believe I booted Windows twice. The only issue I ever had was some Excel macros from work weren’t compatible with LibreOffice Calc. I ended up installing Office using Wine as a workaround. When I upgraded to Mint 21.1, I removed the dual boot. Linux just works. And works. And works.
How is NixOS better than Linux Mint?
That Tracy Chapman Fast Car duet with Luke Combs on the Grammys got me. I remember listening to Fast Car when it came out and relating to it in a big way. Mainly because I was very young, married with a child, broke, and scared to death I wouldn’t be able to give my family a good life. All these years later, it was great to see that Tracy is ok, and so are we.
