I doubt this. Technology is continually improving. Computers get faster and run cooler every day. HVAC systems continue to improve efficiency as well. By 2030 who knows if AI as we currently know it will still be around. Maybe we will have switched to light-based circuitry by then as well.

Only a couple of species of mosquitoes actually bite human beings. At least one of those species is not native to the United States. We can safely kill those species and it should not impact the diet of birds and other things, sincere will still be plenty of other mosquitoes to go around.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Yeah, I’m more concerned about the invasion from the “smart glasses” fad filming fucking everything than I am this pie in the sky prediction.

All I see in that photo is a bunch of logos on white backgrounds. That’s some lazy ass icon design.

They are dying because they have horrible leadership. They are solely focused on subscription revenue now, and everything else is just left to rot. They’ve pretty much lost any urge to do anything creative with their money and manpower.

You didn’t miss the “mobile wave”. You purposely gave up. Idiots.

Just like we all ran out and bought 3D TVs. Right? And Meta smart glasses. Any day now!

Good thing I don’t have Netflix then.

Considering all that Nadella cares about is subscription revenue, I have no idea how Bing still exists. Are they planning to shoehorn Copilot into it at some point?

I’d pick going back to .edu, .gov, .mil, .com, .org, .net — and actually enforcing their meanings. None of this cash grab bullshit where a company has to buy the TLD for their company name over and over.

Microsoft: Commitment to quality. We pinky swear!

You’d think someone wasting money on AI would have snapped up this property. The brand is still a good fit for a chatbot.

I haven’t found that hot temperatures reduce the range of my EV, other than turning on the air conditioning. After all, most modern EVs have temperature regulation systems for the batteries to prevent these kinds of problems. I lose about 10 to 20 miles off my range by running the AC. I’m sure something similar happens in a gas powered vehicle, it’s just that you don’t have a guess-o-meter on the dashboard in a gas car showing you the immediate impact.
The nice thing about EVs, is you can pre-cool or preheat the cabin while they are plugged into the wall if you’re worried about it. In colder climates you can also pre-heat the battery while the car is still plugged in.

Sanders is currently obsessed with this idea that AI will take everyone’s jobs. It’s all he posts about on social media.
I think it’s unfortunate that he is so laser focused on this, because AI doesn’t really work as well as it’s being hyped. And it’s turning out to be more expensive than using human beings in a lot of contexts. A lot of businesses are using it as a cover story for layoffs, so they don’t have to blame their own poor decisions and leaderships. “Oh, it wasn’t my fault profits were down, it was the AI!” But instead of digging deeper, he’s just buying into and repeating the hype.

Gotta make room for all that AI nobody asked for.
Here is Apple’s statement. They designed an API called “Trusted System Agent “ but the EU rejected it.
