Something you shouldn’t have to do in order to use the internet.
There are browser plugins that let you change your user-agent request header to masquerade as another browser (e.g., Chrome).
I agree with the sentiment, but in his linked project he says this:
Somewhat surprisingly, Trifecta does not touch the images it serves. This is a bit sad since it might be useful for the software to create thumbnails for example. The security record of most image libraries however is sufficiently depressing that it is not worth the cost to do any kind of conversion.
Apparently leaking EXIF data to the internet is not a concern of his.
There’s ads on the Lock Screen now? Ugh.
I’m sure I’ve seen them in the UK. I can’t recall where else.
Yeah, Prime Video already has commercials.
Android had a dedicated comma button… I think where the mic button is by the space bar. And on Android you could press and hold letters for punctuation, not just accented characters.
It annoys me that I can’t long press for punctuation on iPhone SwiftKey, like I could with Android. Also, no comma button.
If you were restricted to just 700MM words, what would you say?
This isn't what capitalism promised me.
What are your biggest pet peeves as a color blind person? In software, I mean.
This is not a standard. In this case it’s desirable to have more options.
What? How did anyone think that Uber could possibly help traffic?
My best friend had it. We spent a lot of time playing it! Also Zelda and Zelda II. Dragon Warrior was always my favorite, though.
I believe it does say what Congress is, though, so it should be pretty obvious that the first amendment does not apply to the executive.
Yeah, that’s why I shared it with OP 🙂. I’m pretty sure that between the two clauses I quoted in this thread that his licence does not meet the OSI definition.
Then maybe this clause is more appropriate:
The license must not restrict anyone from making use of the program in a specific field of endeavor. For example, it may not restrict the program from being used in a business, or from being used for genetic research.
The Open Source Definition from the OSI has the clause:
The license must not discriminate against any person or group of persons.
And most people (that actually care about such things) would insist that “open source” must meet the criteria of the OSD to actually be open source.
It’s neither free software (as defined by the Free Software Foundation) or open source (as defined by the Open Source Initiative).
Agreed. Everything that happens at X isn’t “tech”.
I only watch what’s in my subscriptions. Now and then I’ll add something new to see if I like it or remove something I don’t enjoy.
