i run ABS as a web based manager for drm free audiobooks but the player itself is just totally unreliable, i download the files and add them to BookPlayer on iOS
I know this is somewhat defeating of the privacy purpose but I use FF because of sync- is there an alternative that can use something like webdav to sync my bookmarks/history/etc between instances? e; i know floccus is around for bookmarks but i find history useful too
weirdly if you search “website advertising preferences” in the firefox setting search bar nothing comes up, you have to manually scroll to find it
you should try subscribing to your home feed in an rss reader for a day too, it’s a great feature of lemmy and discourages scrolling forever
are a lot of these options not opt-in at the system level? on iOS at least. i know they can approximate a lot using ad tracking but not health info on the phone if you don’t allow it
I just try to stay out of the actual webui as much as possible, pretty much only going in to change filters. maybe there’s an extension for better tagging?
nice workaround, thank you 👍
i really dislike how it puts your email across the top banner. mine is long and it covers the filter buttons at the top
FreshRSS is ugly and sometimes clunky but seems to be unparalleled for features and support (Reeder + Netnewswire for clients) as far as selfhosted options go
i’ve tried it, it’s soooo overdesigned. linkding works for me
