  • One would think.

Linux costs next to nothing compared to Windows. So if companies want to cry about having to save on budget, go with the better option for it.

Who the fuck needs Office 365? Nothing has really changed on that software for years, it’s still the same shit. I don’t see anything different on Microsoft Word 2007 from it’s 365 counterpart. People are getting scammed.

  • Then get the fuck off of it.

Seriously, it’s on you the longer you stay on that shithole platform. Despite all of the warnings. All of the things Musk has done. You’re still on it. Why? Besides member count, why? Why stick with something that actively hates you and works against your best interests?

    “Because uh, muh friends…”

Get those friends off the fucking platform too. If they’re staying behind, consider getting new friends.

Mastodon and Blue Sky are better alternatives. Get the fuck off of X. Get some damn self-respect for once.

  • I just want phones to be fun again. There’s a YouTube series literally called ‘When Phones were Fun’. Where a guy presents all of these models from different manufacturers in the 2000s that all had these crazy but unique phone designs.

Small phones, sliding keyboard phones, compacting phones, media device phones .etc that just had character to them.

But no, we’ve been living in an era of phones where they’re just a series of degrees of rectangular shapes. This one is tall, this one is a little wider and it’s just boring. Flipping the phone inward of itself isn’t really that interesting because it’s just a flip phone now with a screen that can do it.

  • Ubuntu and it’s spin-offs are really are as close as we’re ever going to get to a full, user-friendly Linux OS. At least one that isn’t going to scare off as many people.

It’s just when you tell people the part where you have to keep track of some of the software that they use through the terminal, that’s when you start seeing them trickle off back to Windows.

Because the average user doesn’t have the patience, time or know-how to utilize commands in a terminal. If you plopped them down during the era where DOS was prominent, they’d be so lost and be begging for a UI to handle everything.

  • My immediate interpretation was “…did she get involved in some copyright lawsuits against pirates?”. The answer is inconclusive because I couldn’t find any search results that had her name plastered or referenced in any copyright/pirate cases.

However I did discover that she’s the CEO of another company called the Markup, which basically is just a nonprofit newsroom that fact-checks some reports. So I suppose she’s just someone who studies law on media to get a better understanding if I’m reading into that, but it’s such a vague term to use if you’re not like a practicing lawyer that specializes in media like copyright. I don’t know, she failed to post any credentials other than declaring a position.
