Boosting a Lemmy post in Mastodon shows up as an upvote in Lemmy. So the two concepts seem to be coupled in the activitypub substructure. I don’t see how upvotes would be secret then, as I don’t think it’s possible to boost something privately on Mastodon.
That’s a SLAPP suit.
Cars have been computers on wheels for at least 15 years now.
Don’t worry about it. It’s like Linux enthousiasts talking about distros.
If you get to the point where it matters to you, you’ll look into it then. I’ve been here for more than a year and still haven’t bothered to hop servers.
A few of my communities have not migrated at all, so I check back there occasionally.
There is Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) but default Mint is Ubuntu based (Ubuntu is also based on Debian).
