Up to* $2k. Just for the sake of clarity.
The tax credit is 30% of the total project price, up to $2k. If the HPWH is over double the cost of NG, you’re still paying quite a bit more even with the tax credit.

This game looks roughly equivalent to TW3 because it is roughly contemporary with TW3. (2015 vs 2017). HZD was well known for being a very pretty game in motion when it came out, though this video doesn't really do it justice to be honest.
I imagine the point of the video is seeing the framerates on mobile hardware in Linux.
Huh. I always heard 3 copies, 2 locations, 1 of the locations offsite. Yours makes sense though.
I like to do this but it’s much cheaper to buy bags in the giant packs. Those don’t fit in my drawer because they aren’t the normal size/shape. Or sometimes if I mix/match brands the boxes don’t fit together in the drawer. Uncommon, but happens.
Not saying this is 100% needed, but it’s not without use.
My argument would be that one doesn’t transcend over the other. It’s probably obvious but I also think numbered review scores are inherently flawed, because the metric is subjective and meaningless.
I much prefer a tiers system. These are both top tier games. Anyone can agree they are of exemplary quality and represent some of the best their genre has to offer. Any argument beyond that very quickly devolves into squabbles over subjective preference and that is a bit pointless to me.
As an example, a few of my favorite games of all time are Earthbound, Half-Life, Super Mario World, Metroid Prime, and Skyrim. I would rank all 5 of these games in my top tier. But what point is there in trying to rank them amongst each other? They have nothing to do with one another, so I have no meaningful way to compare them. If I use numbering, would I rank Earthbound a 9.7 and Metroid Prime a 9.5 and that means Earthbound is a better game? 2 tenths better? What does that even mean? I just don’t find value in that kind of arbitrary comparison.
I’m excited for BG3 but I guess I struggle to see why it needs to be compared to TotK at all. Feels like that is selling both games a bit short. They aren’t really that similar.
A lot of things around the world were better before the Internet. And they were definitely better before smart phones reached ubiquity.
To me this sounds more stressful. Is that routine not stressful? I mean no judgment, I’m honestly curious.
Let me assure you, this kind of passive behavior does NOT work and only results in being resentful as you wait for the other person to figure it out and they never do.
Don’t assume people will figure something out on their own if you care about the result. Communicate openly. I cannot stress that enough.
This is going to sound stupid, but… Don’t you have to clean up for them to be able to come in and do their job?
Our major issue isn’t so much that it’s “dirty” per se. Granted that is an issue too, certainly. But the real issue is just that there are “things” everywhere. Kid stuff, papers or objects put down in haste, things that toddlers surreptitiously grabbed and moved into incorrect locations, etc.
All those things are why we don’t get to truly cleaning. Wouldn’t we have to get all those things picked up if we hired cleaners?
Yep, same
I hope they all succeed! Honestly I do.
It’s just that, well, I started using Sync morev than 10 years ago. Averaged 1.5-2 hours every single day since then. It’s very much home for me.
I’m very happy there are other choices and I’m very glad that some people prefer them. But once I learned Sync was coming to Lemmy it automatically earned first dibs on my loyalty.
I just want to be clear that I’ve paid for Sync in various ways I think 3 or 4 times now and I’ll gladly pay for it again. Jerboa has been at least functional (10x better than when I first started using it a few months ago).
But it’s Sync I want.
I played a shitload of COD4 with friends in college. I think I played MW2 briefly and then basically dropped COD.
When I bought a PS5 I was looking for games with PS5 versions to show off the graphics and thought hey, why not get back into COD? So I bought Cold War.
The multiplayer menus and lobbies are damn near indecipherable nonsense. There is so much spam and shit I can’t even see what I should do to play the game. It’s a sad state of affairs how things are now.
Yep, this is mine. And I have barely any time in compared to serious players. But when it was first becoming a thing I think I probably put in 50+ hours playing with my friends. As someone who primarily plays single player games this is a lot. Then I realized I hated every minute playing, and it was making me hate my own friends. It was actually stressful to play. I would be angry after ever play session. So I quit.
Fuck League of Legends. It’s shit and no one will convince me otherwise.
Yeah this is an issue not exclusive to Home Assistant unfortunately. I’ve been dabbling in home automation for years, and every single piece of equipment I have every purchased has at least once gotten flaky or straight up died for absolutely no reason. It’s just part of life with home automation it seems like.
I’m so confused. Whose dishwashers are you talking about? I’m in the US, you’re describing every dishwasher I’ve ever had, except that we always hook it up to the hot water line. Our unit takes very little water, it takes hours to run a load due to efficiency features. It has a heating element inside to take whatever water it gets and keep it hot for the cycle.
I don’t really see why it’s any less efficient to use the hot water we are already heating with our water heater (which heats much more efficiently than a small electric heater would). The water originally arrives to my house cold, it has to be heated one way or another. My dishwasher is less than 10 feet away from my water heater, water is not losing appreciable heat on the way to the dishwasher.
