What is PhotoGimp?


In the case of GIMP it’s an interface that makes any kind of sense. Have to admit that Inkscape is looking pretty damn good these days - even though it’s not really a replacement for Illustrator and is more a good replacement for progs like Freehand and Coreldraw.


I was primarily looking for olden movies - I tend to binge-watch old horror B-movies - and the downloads were usually greater than 2 gigs.

I only used FNP once or twice… can somebody ELI5 me why all the movie dowloads was so ridiculously gigantic?
I’m old enough to remember when owning record players was the norm, but I don’t remember anyone pirating anything - they weren’t considered expensive. Cassette piracy in the 80s and early 90s - now that I do remember.
However, it certainly was a thing. In the USSR they figured out how to do it on discarded x-rays - which, I have to admit, is the most punk thing ever.
