After working with it for a bit the only con I have at this point is my drafting program isn’t supported so I run it within a virtual machine on a second monitor. It’s hard to even tell it’s running in a vm but it’s kind of annoying. So far drafting and robust PDF editors have been the only weak area. That’s not even Linux though, it’s a lack of support from software vendors.

I’m in the States but they were great about it. Issued an RMA and sent me new RAM. Total turnaround from me shipping bad ram to receiving new was only about a week. I haven’t tested the new RAM yet but assume it will be fine. I couldn’t ask for a much better process to be honest

Yeah I’ve tried both. Stoat looks good and seems like the best option for similar organization but matrix seems better in terms of privacy. If matrix wasn’t so clumsy it would be hands down the best option.

Is there a new "default"platform everyone is moving to? I’m kind of surprised there isn’t an open source discord clone that comes with e2e encryption. I’m not tech savvy enough to understand the challenges involved I’m sure.

That’s not what I said. My experience with nobara personally hasn’t been great and while I use bazzite at home for gaming PC but wouldn’t recommend it at this moment because it seems that the dev team is having some drama. I use cachy daily and find it wonderful and super easy. Not the arch difficulty that I was expecting. It’s a downstream.
