1 month agoGF recently wanted to buy Ms office because she had a nice looking CV template for it that would not work well in LibreOffice. So I spent some hours making a good one without Ms crap, just so they would not get anymore money.

This is the kind of mindset that prevents mass adoption of Linux. Sure the terminal should be available but there still should be distros catering to less tech-savvy people if we want the year of the Linux desktop to arrive at all. Some governments are looking to replace Windows with Linux, and you cannot expect the average desk worker to know or even care about doing stuff in a terminal.
It released in 2005 or so and has been less popular than the competing Nintendo DS, so it’s not like it’s a commonly known handheld nowadays. I still have mine but sadly it has some issue where multiple pixel columns of the screen are getting swapped around, I really liked that little thingy :(
