Are you sure? Because I’m sure they do. Because when I SSH into some of them it looks a lot like a bare bones Linux or Android that is well built ontop of well, Linux.
https://notes.jfx.ac/rooting-robot-vacuum/

I wonder about all the little IoT things we have that run Linux but have no interface other than a button or 2. My garage door opener, a picture frame, my lawnmower, my vacuum, my switches, my modem, my cameras…

I still think it’s a pipedream. The energy needed vs what you get in return doesn’t add up for me.
I would imagin they are similar to molecular sieves. They are very porous and that’s how they trap the water. If it was easy to get out then it wouldnt trap water very well. To pull that water back out you have to really heat it up to force it to find its way out like a maze. If you where to say used black plastic, I have doubts you could get anywhere near boiling so it might be free an easy you wouldn’t be putting enough energy in to get enough water out. So you would need an external power source. No matter where (magic solar panels).
If your going to use an external power source might as well use it to put a pump on a pipe and I would guess move an infinite more amount of water for the power used.
While trucking water would be expensive. I would imagen these would be even more so. You have to buy them move them set them up and im sure do some sort of maintains. And if you want a long term solution look no further than Las Vegas. Where a big pipe is cheap and easy, well compared to what I would imaging what this would cost at the same scale.
Also to my understanding many places do have some form of water but its not safe to drink. I would rather spend the money on a filter/ purification system of water than try to pull it out of the air that would still probably need to be filtered, dust is crazy.

Now from this it sounds like a fancy dew collector with extra steps.
Why most certainly there is some niche uses for it and every situation is different. I highly doubt it has a real would massive scale use and when people promise the world( like pulling drinking water out of air) I think they are nothing more than a pipedream.
I stand by a post I made here elsewhere. It would be cheeper to load up a truck with water and move it to where you need it, or better yet build a pipeline. MOF while, like I have their uses, we already have very efficient ways yo clean and move water and no supper SciFi techno babal will replace what we already use. It the same thing as data centers in space.

MOF’s sound like normal dehumidifier with extra steps. The way I see it and from what I understand from reading this.
Put MOF outside so it absorbs water from air.
Heat MOF up to boiling( 100C) to get the water out. ( as something lime squeezing it would probably destroy it, though would be cool)
Cool the water vapor back down using normal dehumidifier means.
Why spend the energy to heat the MOF up. Just cool the air down using normal dehumidifier means. It take a ton of energy to heat water up. Edit: and cool it down but why not skip the heat up part.

How many times do we have to fall for this garbage. Well I guess if your doing it to scam dumb rich people be my guest, but this shit is dumb.

For remote play I don’t use steam. I highly recommend. Sunshine / moonlight . Work great to play games from my PC on my phone or whatever else I want. If you want to stream outside of your network you will need to set up something like wireguard or tail scale but that’s just something cool and useful to set up anyway and not to hard. Also Bazzite comes with sunshine already installed.

Elon is a poser. He wants to be a cool nerd but is just a dumb c***, try hard.

I like this down vote ratios. I wonder why? Just remember the same right that gives companies to record you in public is the same right that let’s you record public officials in the course if their duties. All those ice officers abducting people. Fuck ICE.

This is why I am conflicted. I don’t know where the line should be. I don’t know if anyone does. But like many things in life it is a balancing act with pro’s and con’s on either side.
I know very well that cameras offent don’t do much if anything. The place I work has had cars broken into the cop’s looked at the video of it happening and them going yup it happened don’t know who it is so can’t really do shit.
I mainly look at my cameras as a notification system. Like I said I know what’s happening on my property as it happens rather than after the fact. I also practice the 2nd amendment, now. ( a liberal with a gun what will happen next)
I’m guessing your in the US but if not ignore. The first amendment gives the right to record in public for news, everyone has the right to record and disseminate that info for the public. Would it be any different than someone with a photographic memory writing or drawing everything and disseminating that info to the public as news? The 4th amendment gives the right to be secured in your persons and things but if display it for me to see its not my duty to turn away, its yours to hide it. If you willing give the cops your info its your falt not theirs for violation of your 4th amendment right.
While uncomfortable, annoying and leads to people living in the basement with tinfoil over their windows, I would rather have the right to stand outside ice facilities, court houses, and public official houses on a public sidewalk, with a camera, protesting. Than deny any citizens a camera because someone was uncomfortable they where being filmed. Privacy in public isn’t a right but filming in public is. ( so we can hold our government accountable for the things they do.)
Edit. I trust random Joe Blow with a camera more than any state.

Also this just drops it’s rather cool. https://youtu.be/uB0gr7Fh6lY

I have an internal conflict with this and I don’t know where my line is. 100% police should have to get a warrant to use this shit. Fuck any company who want to use this for Ai and tracking shit so they can sell me more shit or the private company handing over the info over to law enforcement in a weird way to get around warrant requirments, or any other fucking weird shit.
But I also think you have no expectations of privacy in public. If you go outside and touch grass or whatever you can’t demand or stop others from doing their own thing and if that happens to be filming in a public space, well tough shit guess you go somewhere else. I kinda like the idea of cameras everywhere accessible to the public for the public good, I like pulling up traffic cameras and others local places cameras to see if cool things are going on.
So I’m conflicted, cameras everywhere can be cool and make things better for society as a whole but can very easily be used for evil things, maybe it’s better to just say fuck any good and it’s not worth the risk.
Also I have cameras at my house but I have them on a dedicated server( no ring bullshit). I was broken into and the experience convinced me to get them. Knowing when someone is on my property before they even get close to the house to ring the doorbell or other things is nice.

Years ago I bought a physical encyclopedia. I remember having one as a kid and using it for school reports. Also just looking through it can be cool. Learning about something you never knew existed is just a unique experience and doing it through a physical book just deepens the whole experience.
I also learned the practice of printing a physical encyclopedia is going out of fashion. I think there is only one company the still prints a yearly encyclopedia and it’s not Encyclopedia Britannica of all things. Might have change since I bought my copy but go give some physical media some love if you can.

I may be wrong on how they “detect” VPN traffic but the lazy way would be to block the common “default” ports used by those services. If they are just blocking this port you could change what port you use. While it does come with its own issues as its a common scanned port changing the port to something like 80 or 443 and “look” like normal internet traffic. Might get around their block.

I’ll just leave this here.

Welcome aboard matey?

After checking you qualify it should have a link telling you to create an account ( payoneer, I’m in the US not sure about others). Filling out the forum for payoneer was a pain need bank info. I had to use chrome as Firefox would not load their forums properly. Also takes about a day for payoneer to confirm my account then if you filled our googles stuff payoneer just kinda knew and dropped the money in my account.
Anyone remember the demonic Furby.
