I don’t usually say this but honestly if you are working at Oracle in 2026:

You deserve this. You’re working for pure evil. Be thankful you can now maybe get a job that doesn’t involve destroying humanity and democracy.

What were thousands of people doing there? How much meat does it take to run a patent troll operation?

Oracle was trying to compete with GCP and AWS with OCI. Oracle cloud. This tells me they’re going to shutter that.

Oh I fucking hope they do.

Tomorrow I have to do “cloud maintenance” on a Sunday because the fucking OCI decided that some production databases are “unstable” and need to be relocated. The same databases that a while ago could not enable data guards and failed to restore from backups.

The company had about 162,000 full-time employees as of May 31, 2025, according to its annual filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

What the fuck how is it that many people. I didn’t realize this shit company run by the shittiest group of people run such a huge operation.

    Fuck Larry Ellison. Scumbag.

I’m sure that’s totally going to help OCI’s reliability. And Ashburn won’t die for 3 straight days again, like it did this week.
