      It is just a arbitrary field. They could have a field for all sorts of questionable things and it wouldn’t bother me.

      It is up to the people outside of systemd on how it gets used. Systemd is non political and will implement whatever features have a use case. They don’t control the distro.

        Technology is inherently political.

        This is something that has been known and taught for decades.

            You apparently are incapable of critical thinking if you don’t recognize political environments existing that drive the engineering of the technology in question. Thus being, wait for it, inherent.

              sure, many things influence what technology is being developed, politics, culture, economy. That does not make it inherent, ie. inseparable from it. That would mean that you can only have technology where politics play a relevant role, which is obviously not true.
