Looks like some have to the come conclusion that the problem in “1984” was the dangerous lack of surveillance. This is a left-wing (Labour) government, btw.
Stuff like this is why I no longer want regulations to protect us from big tech. Thank you very much.



A company like Microsoft would love this, the impetus might even be equally coming from that direction, for nudity scanning read just scanning. Their concern and limiting factor is the rich availability of alternative OS and the great unwashed just needing a reason to switch, this is not 95. If you are really worried about children you address the problem via parental obligation not forcing every adult to get into the habit of yielding personal identification to any service that asks. But everyone knows that, everyone knows what the plan is, most people view it with apathy because it is expected the powers that be will meet totalitarianism with the same degree of incompetence that they meet everything else with.
