Isn’t it pretty easy in the US?
For some reason people need to register with their government what their political affiliation is. Not sure if any other country in the world does this but it’s stupid as fuck for every reason.
State primary gives ballots with both major parties and tells you to only fill out one of the sides. Meaning your affiliation is not registered with the state.
Meanwhile, when I ask my mother her opinion about this: “but Hunter Biden made so many corrupt deals and he was doing crack!”

How? I specifically say I like that he doesn’t do those things. I didn’t say Trump’s name because his scumminess proceeds him. There’s literally no one as disgusting as Trump and the fact they go after a person who does something as pedestrian as pay a sex-worker when they back the best friend Epstein ever had just makes me draw the comparison. I worded it that way to draw the direct comparison, so I’m okay with it being a little ambiguous (though pretty clear imho).
