Everytime democrats lose its progressives fault somehow. They can never take responsibility for their poor job and bad policy.

He is right if they are willing to unleash Trump back into office over a single foreign affairs policy (where Trump’s stance is even worse)

Lol, that’s not how this works. Unless you plan to either take away a shit ton of people’s voting rights, or to just kill them, you have to “play the crowd”.

That’s just how this shit works. As long as enough “deplorables” exists to tip the scales, you have to address them somehow, not pretend they don’t matter because they’re wrong.

Obama understood that there’s a massive amount of the voterbase unhappy with how things were, and campaigned on a generic idea of change, appealing to frustrated people on both sides of the aisle.

Talking down to people or calling them names isn’t a good strategy to get them to cooperate.

If we’re talking election strategy, of course you’re right.

If we’re talking morals, everyone not voting for Biden is partly responsible if the world gets served Trump again. Trump is not going to improve the lives of anybody but himself and, by accident, other rich assholes.

Ok, this basically proves the problem here. 50% are going to disapprove of Biden no matter what he does. And so the remaining 50% are split. So this is basically the best he could hope for.

Also do you think Biden is responsible for the arrests of campus protestors?

        From your own article:

Biden’s comments came after reports emerged over the weekend of harassment and threats against Jewish students on the campus of Columbia University in New York.

Are you trying to suggest that Biden should instead support the harassment of college kids because they are Jewish?

The president of Columbia testified under oath to congress that she had heard of no harassment or threats against Jewish people on Columbia campus

Right. Of course there was no harassment on Columbia campus.

Nothing ever happens on ANY college campus according to, checks notes…… every college president ever.

No, it means they specifically did not hear anything, not that it isn’t happening. The president of the University of Wyoming made multiple statements, all under oath, that ended up being in direct support of hate speech and harassment of transgender persons just a couple months ago. I am actively watching and hearing hate speech on campus, and the college president encourages it as free speech. There is no doubt in my mind the Columbia president is trying to pull similar optics in defence of these atrocities, I have been witnessing college presidents do the same thing in Wyoming for close to a decade now.

Right. And no college president ever lied under oath. Also, if reports aren’t logged with receipts-

                There’s no reports.

Either way. If you think this isn’t happening, you’re as naive as they get. Just look at the shit people post here on lemmy.

Seems Foolish for her to lie during one line of questioning considering 95% of the hearing was Congress cracking down on Americans right to protest.
