I pass up a lot of good crossposting opportunities because I haven’t seen this in any of the iOS apps yet. Anyone know of one that has it (other than the standard web page of course?). Thanks.

Really enjoying Arctic. I recently discovered the compact link option and the link to remove usernames (which doesn't work with large fonts), and now it's almost perfect. What Id really like is a mode that's just title and thumbnail or photo from the link and that's it. You think it's possible?

    Lemmios

But the app is really really buggy, but it has nice features like save comments as an image.

Thank you will try that one too. There's so many apps now! I thought I knew them all but both of the recommendations are new to me.

I paid for the month for Avelon but I’m not renewing it. Yea the options are good but not at that price, and it’s still a beta app. Get out of beta. Get rid of bugs then we’ll talk. But an overly restrictive free app will make people run away. Especially when Voyager (formerly WefWef) pushes open source updates more than weekly.

Lmao. I unfortunately stopped using it when gif scrubbing was put behind the pro version. Arctic is the only other app I tried that can embed gifs/videos and allows scrubbing.

Yeah I don't blame you. Makes me sad that the Avelon dev became a money grubbing capitalist once he got some recognition for his work. I'd literally pay any dev 30 EUR out of kindness for building a native app but charging for basic features in an app that isn't even out of beta is a shitty thing to do to a brand new community.

and for anyone asking what he should've done:

He could have waited to monetize it then go to the community, asking for donations and he would easily make the same amount of money AND the comminity would still trust him.
