The one with the blinking white block. Except when I’m in insert mode of vim then blinking white line
I use OSMAnd. But, offline I don’t really care for real time traffic updates. I know the city I live in and can guess fairly accurately how long any journey will take.
Anna@lemmy.mltoAsklemmy@lemmy.ml•How likely is it that there's an animal on earth that's smarter than human beings in key areas?
0·1 month agoIntelligence is nuanced so let’s test everyone on mathematics
It’s like testing if a fish is faster at climbing tree than a monkey.
Almost all the animals I’ve seen 1thing or other that they can do which is impossible for me.
Bees and birds navigating. Even with GPS I sometimes get lost.
Dogs being able to identity people. Sometimes I’m like have seen this person before whose talking to me
Birds creating intricate nests, etc
This doesn’t mean I’m dumber than these animals I can write code these animals won’t even be able to dream about. This just means every species specialized in something for the sake of survival of the shittiest.

2·2 months agoGrapheneOS but check banking apps again because for me they were working till last year but then Google started enforcing Play integrity check instead of SafetyNet checks. I was able to do almost everything from website so there’s that

That one Tech support who downvoted you. I mean yes it’s a headache for them but they should also make sure to have backup options for BYOD or whatever the f is in this case
You can host Gitea or gitweb
But if you don’t use VPN and are a US citizen don’t feel bad GCHQ and Pine gap will spy on you and then report to NSA.

I’ve only built and ran their emulator. But, The first build will take a lot of time but subsequent builds are fast.
Keep in mind Google is not releasing source code regularly like they used to. And GrapheneOS has a OEM partner from them they get latest source code but not allowed to release for some time so build will not have latest updates
Not same but last year Linux kernel officially dropped support for Pentium CPUs after 28years so I guess you are good for another 18 years

The only place I find it useful is in writing documentation for the code. I can quickly review it without there being any gotchas that only show up under certain circumstances like with code and even if I miss something it doesn’t break anything and anyone who is confused by the doc can easily reach out to me.
