Idk, in my particular situation I would like a smart washing machine. I have a smart fridge, that is essentially useless, but a smart washing machine would tell me when my laundry was done so I can switch it into the dryer. That actually seems useful in my particular situation.

Not sure it will ever get better. Maybe a single person being allowed to decide a case that requires a technical understanding should be consulted by experts in it. I guess a better lawyer probably should have made that happen (shouldn’t have to). But, as the old geezers die off and the younger “tech savvy” people take over, they will no longer be young or tech savvy, technologywill keep progressing and pass us up too. And you don’t want an actual young person as a judge. So… the system is just broken.

You passing out from huffing on a vape is your own, wierd, unique reaction to nicotine due to your own misuse. I can pass out if I huff a glass of water and that would likely kill me. You can slam 20 energy drinks and make your heart explode, you can eat too much food and die, you can drink too much alcohol and get alcohol poisoning. That is all equivalent to someone who apparently has zero nicotine tolerance taking rips on a vape and being mad they got light headed. That is your own fault. That being said, I am totally down with legal weed and illegal nicotine, however, weed impairs your judgment for hours, nicotine only makes you a bit light headed for a minute, and only if you don’t have a tolerance. I say this as I rip my 12% vape with zero effect.

Can you imagine if that change happened during like 2018/19 when the government was full of people I liked slightly less than the people in their right now? That would have sucked.

They don’t need a justification. It is just capitalism. The second it becomes profitable to develop and implement an AI to replace a human, it will be done. And half the country/world will be rooting for them saying “yeah, go capitalism!”
