1·2 months agoWell, sure, but reddit (and FB, and Insta, and discord, and bluesky and mastadon and twitter and just about everything else out there, probably including Lemmy) are privately owned. Their sandboxes. Now, something like IRC or Usenet (which I still miss) is another matter.
